Bantams Announce Newest Principal Partner

Bradford City is delighted to announce that Apprenticeships at Bradford College has become the club’s official digital partner.

The training division of Bradford’s further and higher education institution - now a principal partner of the Bantams - has agreed a substantial deal.

In addition to partnering the club’s iFollow channel, Apprenticeships at Bradford College branding will also be showcased across City’s social media platforms.

Apprenticeships at Bradford College will also feature heavily in the Utilita Energy Stadium’s North West Corner, as part of a new advertising opportunity.

Located in the heart of the city, Bradford College has been transforming lives through education for almost 200 years.

This partnership has been assisted by the utilising of European Social Funds (ESF) to support the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges - of which Bradford College is a member - and its ‘Let’s Talk Real Skills’ project.

Kelly McAllister, head of apprenticeships and business development at Bradford College, said: “The college is passionate about transforming lives and supporting our local community, and business is key to this.

“Our new partnership will support the college to fill skills gaps and improve employment opportunities across the region.

“Bradford City Football Club provides a great platform for us to share key messages and opportunities.”

Bradford College’s senior business development officer, Nicky Betteridge, added: “Apprenticeships at Bradford College is uniquely positioned to support recruitment.

“Usually, the summer time is our busiest period, where we receive thousands of applications and hundreds of vacancies from businesses looking to employ apprentices.

“Sadly, events following COVID-19 have delayed this key period and we hope that, by working with the Bantams - and being a part of their growing business network - we will open doors to new opportunities, allowing us to share key messages with the club’s large fanbase.”

The club’s director of communications and commercial, Ryan Sparks, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming one of the city’s key players to our expanding commercial portfolio.

“This is a very innovative and exciting new partnership which will deliver big numbers via our online platforms, aiding and developing the college’s efforts to provide apprenticeships for thousands of young adults across the district and beyond.

“The power of our online presence is something Kelly, Nicky and their team are keen to make the most of, as we will be able to help spread their messages to a large worldwide audience and inspire the next generation.

“I am looking forward to seeing this partnership develop and grow over the coming years and it is fantastic to have another well-known and respected brand working alongside us.”

Bradford College’s apprenticeships team is now undertaking initial assessments with applicants and supporting employers with their recruitment needs.
